My Story

Morris's roots trace back to the quaint town of Goose Cove, nestled near Baddeck along the renowned Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, NS, Canada. Transitioning from the small-town charm to the bustling city of Halifax for university, Morris first pursued his undergraduate degree at MSVU and later obtained his MBA from SMU. In the big city, he began cultivating his professional network and honing his skills in the strategic financial management.

 

As an Investment Advisor with a bank-owned brokerage, Morris harnessed his extensive knowledge to craft comprehensive wealth management solutions for clients across Canada. Specializing in collaborating with real estate developers/operators, small and medium sized business owners and not-for-profit organizations, Morris executed a proven process. This involved conducting in-depth discovery sessions, formulating strategic recommendations, and implementing robust plans for long-term wealth maximization. In a strategic capacity, he adeptly bridged the gap for business owners, addressing the nuanced management of their assets.

In his prior role as a real estate-focused Commercial Banker, Morris delivered tailored service in local markets. He collaborated closely with builders and developers, offering unique financing and treasury solutions for project needs and day-to-day business operations. Morris demonstrated his expertise by employing various loan types and structures to suit a diverse range of development initiatives, with projects ranging from land banking to high end condo/MUR developments.

Fusing financial acumen with a client-focused ethos, Morris founded a numbered company for private consulting services in 2020 amid the pandemic. As the business evolved he made a strategic decision to rebrand and exclusively focus on Strategos Group in 2024. This marked a pivotal moment in Morris's career trajectory as he centered his efforts on the growth and success of Strategos.

Outside of the office, he enjoys sailing, camping, hiking, barbecuing, hockey and visiting his hometown in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Morris and his wonderful wife Erin are proud parents to their son Easton, and daughter Eloise.​​
